About Course


This certificate course in health communications, developed by the Indian Council of Medical Research in partnership with Centre for Development Management and Communication (CDMC)-MICA and Global Health Strategies (GHS), has been designed for young professionals, scientists and researchers who are keen to explore the field of health communications.


Communications can be a powerful tool for countering misinformation and anxieties around various diseases, raising awareness on public health issues and strengthening community participation in disease prevention and control. Through this program, participants will develop skills in public health communications, risk communications, community engagement for better health outcomes and learn strategies to design and implement communication campaigns.


Course Structure: This four-month program comprises three levels:


  1. Basic Level
  2. Intermediate Level
  3. Advanced Level

Each level comprises Modules, delivered as pre-recorded online sessions, by leading public health experts from public and private institutes in India. The online sessions will be supplemented with live virtual interactive sessions and in-person meets, providing a well-rounded and engaging experience to participants, while allowing freedom for self-paced learning.
